Francis J. "Frank" Rust, M.D.

Francis Joseph Rust M.D. "Frank" passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 21st, just after his 95th year.  Born at home in Denver, he was the 7th of 8 children born to Charles and Florence (Riss) Rust. He married JoAnn (Spahn) Cooley and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage until her death in 2013.  They have five children: Charles (Mirtha), Pam Polk (Dennis), Greg (Kathleen), Philip and Larry (Ruth); 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.  

Frank attended CSU and CU Medical School, interning in Hawaii in Family Practice. He had a thriving 50 year Family Practice in Lakewood and was an active staff member of St. Anthony Hospital.
