With great sorrow, we share the news of the death of Francis P. Guilmette Sr., who passed away on July 18, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. He was born on September 6, 1948, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. In 1975, he began working at Raytheon in Andover, MA, where he met his future wife, Rosemary Brothers. In 1978, they relocated to Denver, Colorado, where they flourished and built a beautiful life together.
Frank was a successful and devoted entrepreneur who co-founded Rocky Mountain Retaining Walls with two partners. A vibrant personality, he had a passion for bowling, skiing, watching NFL games (with a special affinity for the Denver Broncos), dancing, enjoying classic Western films, and playing board games such as Cards Against Humanity.
He was dedicated to supporting military personnel and contributed regularly to organizations like Wounded Warriors. Frank was also a staunch advocate for Tunnel to Towers, a charity that honors America’s first responders.
He leaves behind his wife Rosemary Guilmette, two sisters, Pauline and Doodie; one brother, Bert; two children, Darlene and Stephanie; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Francis Guilmette Jr.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 27, at 10:00 AM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, located at 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014.
