Francis Howard Knoll, Jr.

Knoll, F. Howard Jr., 92, of Denver Colorado, passed away on May 10, 2026. Born in Eden, Wisconsin on September 10, 1933. His family moved several times throughout the Northwest and settled in Central City, Colorado. After graduating from Gilpin County High School in 1951, he enlisted in the US Naval Air Reserve and was inducted October 28, 1953. He was honorably discharged on March 6, 1960.

He worked as a carpenter and was promoted to Director of Engineering at General Rose Memorial Hospital. He retired from General Rose Memorial Hospital in 1988.

Survived by his children Debi Hunter Holen (Bill), Dean Knoll, stepsons John Ireland (Kathy), Larry Ireland (Pitou), Doug Ireland (Connie), siblings Geri Sheldon and Dale Knoll, 9 grandchildren,11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by wife Nancy McHugh Knoll, ex-wife Donna Quail Knoll, mother Alice Smith, father F. Howard Knoll Sr., stepmother Mert Knoll, sisters Joyce Knoll, Barbara Voeks, stepson Steve Ireland and grandson Cory Ireland.

Celebration of Life - Monday, May 18, 2026, 9:00 AM at Horan & McConaty Mortuary, 1091 S Colorado Blvd, Denver.

Entombment - May 18, 2026, 11:00 AM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery – Madonna Mausoleum, 12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge.
