Frances ""Frannie"" Osband

Frances ""Frannie"" Elizabeth (Cousino) Osband was born in Grosse Pointe Parke, Michigan to Robert & Margaret (Sands) Cousino on August 22, 1940. Both Frannie & her twin brother, Frederick, graduated from Grosse Pointe Parke High School. She went on to attend the University of Michigan where she was a sister in the Delta Delta Delta Sorority & earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education. Frannie came to Denver in 1964 & taught in the Littleton Schools for 2 years before being hired by United Airlines as a Stewardess. She worked for United for 6 years before teaching again. Frannie worked in the Cherry Creek school district until she retired from teaching. During this time she received a specialized Master's Degree from the University of Colorado. In 1972 she began dating Bill Osband, who was also from Grosse Pointe Parke, Michigan. They were married in 1973 until 1992. Frannie built a home in Breckenridge where she lived & worked for seven years, but chose to return to Denver to be near her dear friend Lou Ann Baker & closer to everyone who loved her. Frannie lived a full & rich life. She enjoyed the outdoors immensely & was very athletic, was part of the same bridge group for 48 years, frequented the opera & participated in the Central City Opera Guild, loved entertaining friends regularly, was fond of Jazz, & had been a member of P.E.O. chapters DJ & FU. To understand Frannie is to understand her genuine love for education. As such, she has left a generous endowment to her alma mater the University of Michigan's School of Education. Frannie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Margaret & former husband Bill, she is survived by her brother Frederick & his family & many loyal friends. To celebrate Fran's life, friendship & memory, friends will gather for her 75th birthday at Lake Carol Anne, Denver, Colorado.
