Obituary

Forrest Eugene Kelley of Aurora , Colorado became a silent key and passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 79.

Forrest was the devoted husband of Aleta Colleen Kelley and a loving father to his three daughters and three sons. He was also a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his life, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with those he loved.

Known for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and lifelong curiosity, Forrest embraced life with a youthful heart and enthusiasm. He enjoyed a wide range of interests, including amateur (HAM) radio, where he earned his Extra Class license AA0FK, photography, sewing, baking, and technology. He was always eager to learn something new and share his knowledge and experiences with others.

Forrest proudly served his country in the United States Army for more than 20 years, including service in Vietnam. He retired honorably after a distinguished military career marked by dedication, sacrifice, and service to his nation.

Above all, Forrest will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His generosity, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family leave a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 19877 E. 47th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80249. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80236, where full military honors will be rendered in recognition of Forrest's faithful service to his country.

Following the cemetery service, family and friends are invited to return to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 19877 E. 47th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80249, at 3:30 p.m. for a reception and time of fellowship as they share memories and celebrate Forrest's life.

The family invites those who knew and loved Forrest to leave condolences and share cherished memories in the online guestbook. His memory will be forever treasured by all whose lives he touched.
