Florentine Eleanor Duran, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 7, 2026, just days before her 84th birthday. She was born on March 26, 1942, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Eleanor was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life centered around her family. She is survived by her children: Brenda (Brandon) Heitman, James (Lori) Duran, and Michael Duran.
She was a proud grandmother to Angel, Alex, Alexis, Ravin, Jeremy, JJ, Danny, Tabi, Sami, and Abbi, and a loving great-grandmother to Skyler, Bailey, Silas, Ozias, Kaius, and Declan. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured the time spent with each of them.
Eleanor was also dearly loved and cherished by her younger siblings; Benny Rocha, Angie Bobian, Linda (Dennis) Kindell, Lupe (Tom) Campos, Robert (Arlene) Rocha, Yolanda (John) Roybal, Gilbert Rocha, and many extended family members and friends who will remember her kindness, warmth, and sense of humor. She enjoyed simple pleasures in life, including spending time with loved ones and playing bingo, which brought her much happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Flora Rocha, her two brothers; Daniel Rocha and baby brother, sister-in-law Gloria Rocha, brother-in-law Tony Bobian, and her husband, Abel Duran.
Eleanor will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the lasting memories she created with those closest to her. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
