Evelyn Marlene Worrick, affectionately known by family and friends as "Marlene", age 95, passed away peacefully at The Harbor at Hickory Hill in Prattville, Alabama on April 18, 2026. She was the daughter of Roland Fahr and Cora Stere. Evelyn graduated from Bellefonte High School High in 1949. In January, 1953 she flew to Germany to marry her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Mark Joseph Worrick, who preceded her in death in 2014.
During their 62 year marriage, Marlene supported her husband's 37 year United States Air Force career, and together they traveled and lived around the world.
They raised four children, Roger, Matthew, Theresa and Mark II, each of whom have been successful in their life endeavors. Her children have blessed Marlene with 10 grandchildren: Nancy, John, Becky, Michael, Joseph, Ashley, Samantha, Alex, Jared and Lauren.
Marlene is survived by two siblings, Lavoun Teaman and Malvena Hersh, in addition to nephews and nieces also survive. She was preceded in death by siblings Louella, Roland, Homer and Jackie.
The Rosary will be held on May 8th at 9:30am at Risen Christ Catholic Parish, Denver, Colorado. A funeral mass will take place immediately afterwards at 10:00am. Marlene's burial service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado at 1:00 pm. Donations in honor of Marlene may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project.
