Eugene R. Todd

Eugene ""Gene"" Ray Todd, USAF, Ret., 81, went home to be with His Lord October 15, 2015. He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Eugene and Velma Todd on September 4, 1934. Beloved husband of Betty for nearly 58 years; devoted father of John David Todd of Denver, Brian Eugene (Charlotte) Todd of Brighton, and Janie Denise (Brian) Wilkinson of Columbus, OH; proud grandfather of Dustin Todd, Aubrey Todd, Shannon Todd, Tamsen Todd, Jalena Todd, Elise Todd, Samuel Eugene Wilkinson and Carolyn Wilkinson; and brother of Patricia Ann (William) Taylor. Gene first served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957. Later in 1957 he joined the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1973 as a Master Sergeant. His service in the Air Force brought him to Lowery Air Force Base in 1965, and included two tours in Vietnam. He and his family remained in Aurora until his retirement. Gene then worked as a Bio-Medical Technician until he retired in that field in 2000. The family will receive guests Wednesday, October 21, 6-8 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora. A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be Thursday, October 22, 11:00 AM at Central Baptist Church, 29 Del Mar Circle, Aurora, CO 80011. Committal with full military honors will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 1:00 PM Staging Area A.
