Erma Mae Broneske, 86, of Denver died Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Elmer Broneske who died November 6, 2011. Born January 31, 1930 in Turtle Lake, ND, Erma was a daughter of the late Hazel Haugen and Loui Rasmussen. She attended school in Turtle Lake until the eighth grade where her father bought and trained horses. Erma loved horses and enjoyed riding and helping her father train them. She married Elmer Broneske on October 20, 1948. They farmed in Turtle Lake until they moved to Denver in 1957. She baked for school district #14 for many years. Erma is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jeane (Calvin) Schell, Sharon Hazel (Dale) Sparks; grandchildren, Chrissy Nelson, Melissa (Kristopher) Stroklund, Rebecca Schell; great grandchildren, Jessica Schell, Alex Sparks, Kevin Bontrager, Isaac Schell, Zach Sparks-Heinz, Ethan Sparks-Heinz, and Kayden Stroklund. She is also survived by her sister Karen (Stan) Sayler, and brothers Ronald (Diane) Rasmussen & Duane Rasmussen. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kelly Sparks-Heinz, a great granddaughter, Alysha Marie Vetter; and a brother, Laurence ""Bud"" Rasmussen. A service will be held for Elmer and Erma at Ft.
