Master Sergeant Eric Allen Hendrix, USA, (Retired), 57, of Aurora, Colorado passed away unexpectedly June 6, 2021. Eric was born May 28, 1964, in Lawrence, Kansas to Frank Allen Blosser, Jr. and Diana Jean Hendrix.
MSG Eric Hendrix served 20 years in the U.S. Army. Eric’s service included tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and was stationed for several years in Germany and South Korea. Eric’s last duty assignment was the Army Special Operations Command, Ft. Bragg TC, NC.
Among Eric’s numerous decorations and medals are the Bronze Star for Valor, Bronze Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with two campaign stars) and Combat Action Badge.
Eric earned his Associate’s degree and was working towards completion of his Bachelor’s degree. He had a passion for communication, beginning with stints as on-air talent at various radio stations around the country and multiple broadcasting roles in the U.S. Army.
Eric was a true Renaissance Man – a talented writer and communicator; an artist; an avid reader; skilled in computer sciences and many other technical arenas. Eric had an intellectual curiosity about everything and was a born conversationalist. He was also an entertainer who endlessly captivated his brothers, cousins, parents, aunts and uncles with magic shows, ventriloquist routines and captivating story telling.
Eric, along with his wife Tammy, was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Eric is preceded in death by his father, Frank A. Blosser, Jr. and his son, Alexander Hendrix.
Eric is survived by his wife, Tammy Nere Hendrix; his mother, Diana Bian; his brothers Sean Blosser, Aaron Blosser, and Jeremy Blosser; his stepdaughters, Daisy Davison and Chelsea Nere; and many loved ones in Eric’s large, extended family.
Services for Eric will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 950 Laredo Street, Aurora, CO 80011. Visitation will be held at the Church on Saturday, from 11:30am-12:30pm.
