Elma Johnson

Elma Johnson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11th, 2023. Born in Carl, West Virginia, to Arden and Juanita McClung. She graduated from Richwood High School, West Virginia in 1956 and then went on to work for GEICO Insurance Company where she met her husband, Richard Johnson. In 1970, they moved to Lakewood, Colorado along with the GEICO Finance Company, where Elma became a fulltime homemaker.

She is survived by her husband Richard, of 57 years; son Michael (wife Barbara); granddaughter Brianna; great grandson Chance, a member of the U.S. Air Force (wife Paige); great great granddaughter August; sister Faustine Ervin (husband Don); sister-in-law Mary McClung; and several nieces and nephews.

Elma will be laid-to-rest at Fairview Cemetery in Nettie, West Virginia.

She will be greatly missed for her kindness, her willingness to help others, and to make like a joy and blessing for Richard, family, and others.
