Ellen Montgomery O'Keefe

Born on July 13, 1954 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Gladys and William Montgomery. Ellen met her husband F.X. while in school at Bucknell University; after graduate school in Texas they were married in 1980. Ellen has Masters degrees in both biology and library science; she was a professional librarian until their daughter Siobhan was born in 1987 and continued to work as a volunteer in both school and public libraries throughout her life. Ellen was always active in Lutheran choirs, most recently with Epiphany Lutheran Church in Denver where a memorial service will be held. Ellen is survived by her husband F.X. O’Keefe and daughter Siobhan O’Keefe. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ellen O’Keefe to The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation.
