Ellen R. DeCilla

Ellen DeCilla, age 72, passed away on April 11, 2026 surrounded by her family. She graduated from University of Southern California and was an Registered Occupational Therapist for 40 years. Family was always Ellen’s greatest joy and she was a passionate advocate for others living with the same immune deficiency disorder she faced, offering support and encouragement wherever she could. She shared decades of love, companionship, and adventure with Nicholas, and loved her daughters, Lauren and Angela, with deep affection and unwavering support. She enjoyed dancing in her kitchen to her favorite music, expressed her creativity in many forms, and indulging in her favorite pastime—shopping on Amazon. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas DeCilla; her daughters, Lauren Morris (Andy Morris) and Angela DeCilla (Grant Smith); and her grandchildren, Lilly Morris and Liam Smith.

Funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty Funeral Services at 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, 80014 on May 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM. There will be a reception following the service at 12:30 p.m. at 8668 E. Doane Place, Denver 80231. Flowers may be sent to Horan and McConaty Funeral Services.
