Elizabeth Azuero

February 7, 1933 — November 10, 2023

Aurora, CO

On November 10, 2023 with her family by her side, Elizabeth Azuero peacefully went to walk with the angels and by the side of the lord our father. She was 90 years old.

Born in Cali, Colombia South America, Elizabeth fulfilled an amazing life with her husband and children. A vivacious personality brought happiness on being not only the central figure in the lives of her family, but passing on her love, compassion, humor, and tenderness to all she ever met. She was of small stature, but a force to be reckoned with. A loving and devoted wife, and dedicated mother, first and foremost she treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved being abuelita or was better known as Tita.

A woman of faith, she enjoyed and loved passing on her heritage to all with her cooking, kept an immaculate house, was extremely skilled with knitting needles, and enjoyed singing, dancing and all outings when they arose.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of almost 64 years to Jaime Azuero. Cherished mother to her four children Maria Claudia Yates, Elizabeth Ayala, James and Richard Azuero. Treasured grandmother to her fourteen grandchildren Natasha, Janina, Amanda, Geoffrey, Andres, Meghan, Alana, Brianne, Sarah, Ryan, Mackenzie, Sydney, James, and Ashton.  Great grandmother of five to Arielle, Felix, Selena, Caius, and Simone.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 19099 E Floyd Ave, Aurora, Colorado, on Friday November 24, 2023 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
