Elizabeth Morley Abbott of Aurora, Colorado passed away on November 4th, 2024. She was 66 years old.
Liz was a vibrant and beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, with a deeply passionate soul. She was born in Michigan, grew up in Indiana, and attended Indiana University, but spent most of her life in Colorado. She was beautiful in every sense of the word, with a kind and humble spirit. She had a smile that was infectious and a laugh that was contagious. She was a professional cheerleader turned corporate buyer that loved listening and dancing to country music, traveling to the beaches of CA & FL, doing jigsaw puzzles with her grandsons and helping people in customer service related jobs. She was an incredibly humble and resilient woman who followed her own path and believed in the importance of never letting other people define you, to always hold your head high even when it feels heavy, to find happiness in small victories, and to live a life that isn’t determined by price tags. She will be missed greatly.
Liz is preceded in death by her parents Richard & Marilyn Fillbrandt and her brother Rick Fillbrandt. She is survived by her three daughters, Sara, Tasha and Tori, her four grandsons, Jackson, Jase, Declan and Daxton and her two sisters, Marilyn and Janet. While Liz’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. Her daughters invite you to join them for a celebration of life on Saturday, 11/30 at 3pm at the Horan & McConaty on 11150 E Dartmouth, Aurora, CO.
