With faith in the Resurrection and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Eleanor Lillian Muldoon (Lill) who entered eternal rest on March 14, 2026 in Shawnee, KS. She was 96 years young.
Lill entered this life October 6, 1929, in Parsons, KS to John Eugene and Marie (Owens) Crandon. She met Cornelius (Neal) Muldoon while attending Loretto Heights College in Denver, CO. They were married in 1950 and shared 62 years of Sacramental Marriage. Together Neal and Lill raised eight children, Mari, Neal, Bryan, John, Patrick, Lili, Michael and Kate in the Catholic faith in Aurora, CO. She was the proud Grandmother of 13 grandchildren, and Gigi to 11 great-grandchildren.
Lill was preceded in death by her husband Neal, daughters Kate and Mari, sons Patrick and Bryan; grandsons Baby Neal Muldoon, Joshua Stewart and Patrick Muldoon; brother Jack Crandon and sister Jean Lyons.
She is survived by her sons Neal (Barbara), John (Kelley), Michael (Jill), daughter Lili (Dan) Stewart, daughter-in-law Patty; sister Judy Bowman; and grandchildren Jane (Paul) Johnson, Hannah (Rolando) Faria, Brendan (Claudia), Rhiannon, Brandy (Brittney), Allyson (Josh) Moore, Emily (Justin) Dusselier, Adam (Leah), Justin (Courtney), Sean (Karlie), Patrick (Cydney); and great-grandchildren Lainey, Mia, Eleanor, Clare, Drake, Max, Kenadee, Henry, Lilliana, Theodore, and Elias, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Her life was a testament of quiet holiness. She was known for her gentle smile and steadfast trust in God and touched countless lives with her compassion and grace.
Services will be held on Friday, March 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, KS, with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, CO at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, also in Shawnee, KS, or Catholic Community Health Hospice in Lenexa, KS.
