Elaine Lopez

Elaine R. Lopez, age 82, passed away peacefully Friday, April 16, 2021 due to issues from diabetes and heart failure. She was born December 10, 1938 in Trinidad, Colorado to Felix and Natividad Vailpando. She married her longtime childhood friend and love, Richard Lopez Sr, in July of 1961.

Elaine loved to love people by helping them in any way she possibly could. She was a successful realtor for years and retired a Broker. She collected music boxes, jewelry and art.

Her life was a living example of one of her favorite Bible verses, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."

A beloved sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great aunt, and great grandmother, Elaine is survived by her husband Richard Lopez Sr, her three children, Julie, Richard Jr. and Joseph Lopez, her grandchildren, Tyrus and Andrea Christian, Matthew, Marcus and Damon Lopez, Gabriella Maes and Danielle Magnan, seven great grandchildren and her many in laws, nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Please join us celebrating her life Monday morning April 26, 2021, at 9:30 AM Rosary and 10:00 AM Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W Ohio Ave, Denver, Colorado

1:15PM Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C. Reception to follow at Knights of Columbus Council 4796 Hall, 4935 W. 1st Avenue in Denver, Colorado.
