Edward Harold Tanner, Sr., 62 of Denver passed away on October 8, 2021, at his home. Born on November 24, 1958, in San Diego, California he is the son of Hayden L. Tanner and the late Imalean (Sullivan) Tanner.
Edward was a Chaplin at Christ Body Ministries. He enjoyed volunteering at Beethoven’s Rescue INC. Where he trained and rescued his partner Arlo, who he loved and took with him everywhere.
Ed loved helping anyone and everyone he could. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be remembered for all his leadership help at his church at Christ Body Ministries. He created a second family at the church and loved being a positive influence on people, with all his life lessons and experiences he had a calling and duty to help others. He was a loved son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
In addition to his father, Hayden, he is survived by his sons, Billy Tanner and his wife, Desiree Tanner, Jeff Lane and his wife, Stephanie Lane his grandchildren, Billy 2 Tanner, Hailey Tanner, Stevie Lane, Ember Lane, Landon Lane, Ed’s Brother Billy Jo Benyak and the Benyak family.
We’re immensely proud of the man Ed was. We will cherish all the memories and love he leaves forever in our hearts! Rest In Peace Pops!
A Service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11:00 am at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant St. Thornton, CO 80229.
