Edward Joseph Sokoloski, devoted husband, father and grandfather and longtime resident of Littleton, Colorado, passed from this life on May 11, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Dianne Sokoloski, sons, Philip and Kevin Sokoloski, and grandchildren Blake, Clara, Marlowe and Walter Sokoloski.
Ed was born on September 15, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Edward Joseph Sokoloski, Sr. and Helen Alexandria Sokoloski (nee Rzotkiewicz). As the first of their three children, Ed -- lovingly nicknamed Butch - is also survived by brother Joseph Sokoloski and sister, Janice Marsala.
Gracious and generous, abundant in curiosity, Ed was exceptionally devoted to his family and his work.
A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ed enjoyed a long career as an electrical engineer. A man of many interests, he was at times in life an avid sailor, gardener, golfer, and amateur astronomer. He applied his analytical mind and technical skill to every endeavor.
Ed was laid to rest by cremation following a private ceremony organized through Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Lakewood, Colorado (www.horancares.com).
In lieu of flowers, Ed's family ask for donations in his memory to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
