Edmund Joseph Steinauer

Edmund Joseph Steinauer, age 68, died peacefully at home in Denver, Colorado on May 27, 2025. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School in Kansas City.  Ed studied one year at the University of Denver where he met his wife, Annette.  He continued his studies at the University of Kansas earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Ed started his career in investment banking in Kansas City and then moved to Denver to work at Boettcher and Company. He retired in 2019 after many years with George K. Baum. 


In  addition to his working career, Ed volunteered with the Winter Park Ski Resort Sport Center for the Disabled (NSCD). Following retirement, he served as president for the homeowners association in Homestead Hills in Grand County where Annette and Ed had a second home. 


Ed was passionate about family, friends, golf, and their dog, Ivy. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Annette, and his siblings; Mary Jo Case, her husband Bob and their children Nikki, Brian and Kevin; Sheila Lindberg and her husband Bob; Sue Steinauer; Dick Steinauer, his wife Tina and their children Devon, Aidan and Bella; Uncle Jerry Steinauer and his wife Pat; and many cousins and nieces and nephews. 


A Celebration of Life will take place on September 27, 2025 from 1-4 at Lakewood Country Club in Denver. Donations in Ed's memory can be made to NSCD HERE or to the Grand Foundation HERE.
