E. Atwill Gilman died August 16th after a long and fulfilling life of service to the community and the Arts. Born in Richmond, Virginia on April 24, 1922, Mr. Gilman first came to Denver as a soldier stationed at Lowry during WWII, returning to Denver in 1955. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Callae B. Gilman, his daughter and son-in-law, Anne Gilman Pickard and Rusty Pickard, and his son and daughter-in-law, Stuart W. Gilman and Cathie Walker; and by his brother, Colonel and Mrs. John Patrick Gilman; his cousin, Mary Margaret Shannon; and his grandchildren, William and Elizabeth Pickard and Patrick Gilman. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ellen Mackey Gilman and his granddaughter Callae McIntosh Duke. Services will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd, 2626 E. 7th Ave. Pkwy., on Friday, August 19 at 3:00 p.m.
