Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Doug lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Aurora, Colorado. He dedicated 35 years of his career as a Mechanical Engineer with Sandia National Laboratories, where his passion for science, innovation, space exploration, and understanding how things worked left a lasting impact.
Above all, Doug was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joni Pastor; daughter, Angela Pastor, and son-in-law, Marshall; cherished granddaughter, Ellie Lou, who lovingly knew him as "Popie"; stepchildren, Phillip Carabajal, Richard Carabajal, and Renee Hall; and brothers, Peter, Rick, and Tim Pastor.

While our hearts are broken by his loss, we take comfort in the legacy of love, curiosity, compassion, and dedication he leaves behind. His memory will live on through the family he cherished, the lives he touched, and the countless lessons he shared.
He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
