Dorothy Evonne Scheidle

Dorothy E. Scheidle, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Her life was marked by love and devotion to her family, and she touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Dorothy was born on October 6, 1939, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Orville G. McDaniels and Elizabeth J. McDaniels. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1957. On February 20, 1959, Dorothy married William Scheidle, the love of her life. Together, they spent many years farming in Mills County, where they raised three daughters.

Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her children: Pam Clatterbuck and husband Ron, Cyndy Scheidle, Taryn Beasley and husband Will, and Laurie Whisenant and husband Mike. She leaves behind grandchildren: Tanner Carman, Olivia Minor and husband Deven, Alyssa Milward and husband Zach; and great-grandchildren: Lyla Minor, Sophie and Shona Nystrom, Willow and Thorin Beasley. Dorothy is also fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and friends.

On May 12, 2026, Dorothy was lovingly laid to rest beside her husband in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
