Dorothy’s academic achievements were distinguished by her pursuit of a double Master’s degree in Education and Computer Science, reflecting her commitment to bridging traditional learning with the evolving demands of the digital age. Her innovative approach and unwavering passion made her a beloved figure among students and colleagues alike.

On May 9, 2026, Dorothy passed away in Denver, Colorado. She leaves behind a legacy of intellectual curiosity, patience, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.

Her surviving family includes her devoted parents, Chia Lo and Neng Yang, who have stood as pillars of support throughout her life. Their pride in Dorothy’s accomplishments and their sorrow at her loss resonate deeply with all who mourn her departure.

The community will honor Dorothy’s life and contributions through memorial services held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation - North Metro/Thornton, located at 9998 Grant St, Thornton, Colorado 80229. These solemn services will begin at 8:00 AM on June 28, 2026, and continue through June 29, 2026, concluding at 11:00 AM at the same venue. Following these services, a graveside service will take place at 12:00 PM on June 29, 2026, at Broomfield County Commons Cemetery, situated at 12801 Sheridan Boulevard, Broomfield, Colorado 80020.
