Doris Carolyn
Cobble
December 30, 1930 – April 18, 2026
Joy Lutheran Church
Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery to follow after the service.
Doris Carolyn Cobble of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026.
Born on December 30, 1930 in Mosheim, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Vergie Anderson. Carolyn went to Mosheim High School, then graduated from East Tennessee State University and went on to build a fulfilling life dedicated to her family and her work. As the family moved to different cities within the US, she taught 2nd grade in Seattle, WA and Music Education in Memphis, TN. She worked as church secretary in both Racine, WI and Englewood, CO. She was an active member of the Lutheran church and was a Stephen Ministry leader for many years.
Her greatest pride and joy, however, was her family. She poured her heart into raising her children and teaching them the values of integrity, hard work, and compassion. Carolyn was an accomplished pianist and she loved to cook, often gathering friends and family around the table for her wonderful Southern-style meals.
She is survived by two children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on July 31, 2026 at Joy Lutheran Church in Parker, CO. Interment alongside her late husband of 61 years, Max Cobble, will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
