Donna Mae (Mahoney) Cieloha

Donna passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 95. She always said she had a wonderful, blessed life. She was a longtime resident (63 yrs) of Northglenn, CO living in her 3rd Perl-Mack home.

Donna was born in Canton, OH June 3, 1928 to John and Elsie Royer. After completing high school she moved to Chicago, IL where she met and married John Mahoney. They had one child; a daughter, Nancy J. Mahoney. They relocated to Denver, CO in 1958. They co-owned Castaways Lounge in Thornton, CO and Mahoney's Lounge in Northglenn, CO. Donna was employed as a keypunch operator with Stanley Aviation and E. R. Squibb & Sons. In the early days of computers, she was employed by Super Value Foods as a programmer. She retired in 1993.

She married Jerry T. Cieloha on September 20, 1980 and they were happily married until his death on  April 16, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Elsie Royer; sister, Jean Troy (IL); brother, Jack Royer (IL); first husband, John Mahoney (CO); and her second husband, Jerry Cieloha (CO).

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mahoney; granddaughter, Gina Tylee; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jenna Tylee and Spencer Tylee, all of Colorado.

A Celebration of Life is being held in honor of Donna at the Thornton Eagles (8651 Huron St.) on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
