Donna “Jean” Groghan (nee Orr), 96, passed away January 13, 2026 at home in Aurora, Colorado.
Donna was born in her grandparent’s home in Parsons, WV August 17, 1929. Later she lived in the West Virginia towns of Morgantown, Moundsville, and Hurricane before moving to Beaver, Pennsylvania and finally to Aurora, Colorado in 1976.
Donna was a long-time homemaker while also selling Avon and providing Welcome Wagon visits. She worked several retail positions before finding a home with her COSTCO family where she was the “COSTCO Queen” for 23 years and retired at the age of 84.
Her hobbies included shopping, shopping and shopping, especially for clothes, shoes, jewelry and gifts for family and friends.
In addition to her parents Glenn and Ruth Orr, she was preceded in death by her husband George; two sons George Allan and Jeffrey; two brothers Dan and Bob; and sister Phyllis Branch.
She is survived by brother Kenny and sister Karen Storie; two daughters Brenda Grover of Aurora, CO and Amy (Randy) Chenevert of Bridgeport, WV; seven grandchildren Krissy Groghan Miller, Don, Celeste, Josh, Jessie, Desiree Watts and RJ; Great-grandchildren too numerous to name all, but include Kasey, George, Ariana, Addie, Noland, Greyson and Evie.
A viewing will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, Aurora, CO prior to burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
