Donald "Jack" Klein

Donald “Jack” Klein of Lakewood Colorado died on 25 Mar 2023.  He was 88 years old.  He was preceeded in death by his beloved wife, Maryan in 2019.  He is survived by Doug Klein (Trudy) of Moorcroft, WY, Diane Lacina (Kelley) of Florence, TX, Doreen McHugh (Pat) of Lakewood, CO, and David Klein of Jacksonville, FL.  His grandchildren are; Ryan Lacina, Barry Lacina, Dustin Klein, Devin Klein, Camden Klein, Rachel McHugh, Benjamin McHugh and Rebecca McHugh.  He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.  Upon graduating from Pella High School, Pella, IA, he entered the Navy and was assigned to the USS Intrepid and USS Saratoga as a Radio Specialist in the Korean War.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Central University of Iowa and worked for almost 40 years for the US Department of Labor.  Maryan and Jack loved to travel and spent many years exploring the world.  In addition, he loved his family, his church family, Our Saviour’s, of almost 60 years, Thursday Lunch Bunch, dinners with family and the Denver Broncos.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 3rd, at Our Savior’s Church at 1: 00 pm.  He will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
