Donald E. Voake, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, at his home in Westminster, Colorado.
Born in Longmont, Colorado, to Donald H. and Mayme Voake, he attended Saint John’s Elementary School and Longmont High School, then Colorado State University, where he met the love of his life, Diane A. Voake (Arneson). Don and Diane shared 69 years of marriage, building a life filled with devotion, adventure, and family.
Don is survived by Diane and their four children: Donald E. Voake Jr. (Patricia), Theresa D. Friede (Douglas), Derek J. Voake (Clara), and Darin Jon Voake. He is also survived by his brothers, William Voake and Clifford Voake. He was a grandfather to six grandchildren: Kristina Hicks, Kevin Voake, Kenton Voake, Brandon Friede, Grant Friede, and Laura Voake. He was also a joyful great-grandfather to eleven great-grandchildren: Madison, Taylor, Christian, Kaylie, Maya, Allie, Sydney, Sierra, Sage, Evelyn, and Nolan.
Professionally, Don was an entrepreneur with a strong work ethic and vision. In 1963, he founded Don Voake Associates, a manufacturer’s representative company. Five years later, he formed a successful partnership with John Maloney, building a thriving business and professional relationship that lasted into retirement. Don and Diane shared a deep love of travel, exploring more than 30 countries together and collecting memories around the world. Don enjoyed golf and was a member of The Ranch Country Club. He was also a devoted Denver Broncos season-ticket holder. One of Don’s greatest passions was restoring Austin-Healey automobiles. As an active member of the local Austin-Healey club, he enjoyed locating rare parts and helping fellow enthusiasts restore their cars. His knowledge, generosity, and willingness to help others made him a valued friend in the Austin-Healey community. Don and Diane also treasured winters at their home in Tucson, where they enjoyed the sunshine, friendships, golf, and time together.
Don will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the generations he helped shape and in the many memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
