In Loving Memory of Donald Lee Stevenson
Donald Lee Stevenson, born on October 21st, 1938, in Golden, Colorado and left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him. His life was a testament to love, faith, learning, and adventure.
On March 23rd, 1974, Donald married the love of his life, Evie. Together, they built a life full of cherished memories, raising two sons, Michael and Jonathan, and embracing the joys and challenges of family life. Donald’s love for his family was evident in everything he did, always putting them first. His devotion to his faith in God was a central guiding force in his life, and he lived with a deep commitment to his church and to serving others in his community.
For 36 years, Donald devoted his career to teaching Industrial Arts at Cherry Creek High School. His passion for education and his unwavering commitment to shaping young minds made him not only a teacher but a mentor, guiding countless students with patience and care. He took pride in imparting practical skills and fostering creativity in the next generation.
Beyond the classroom, Donald had a deep love for adventure. He and Evie spent many years exploring the diverse landscapes of the United States in their RV, immersing themselves in the beauty of local parks and cultures. These travels were more than just journeys; they were an expression of his curiosity and zest for life.
Donald passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2025, in Parker, Colorado. He was proceeded in the afterlife by his parents, Emmer & Alice, and his brother Larry Dene. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Evie, sons Michael and Jonathan, daughter-in-law Jacque, granddaughter Charlotte, and nephews Tim, Dave, Dene, and Rusty.
A celebration of Donald’s life will take place on Friday, April 4th, 2025 at 1pm, at Saint Andrews Methodist Church located at 9203 S. University Blvd. Highlands Ranch, Colorado. His family invites all those who loved him to join in remembering the wonderful life he lived.
