Donald was born on December 20, 1927 in the small town of Agra, Kansas to Harry & Maye Otis. Don was always quick-witted with an excellent sense of humor, and he had a real knack for telling fun stories. He served honorably for the United States Navy during World War II, and he worked as a Contractor for most of his life. Don built a strong reputation as a Master Craftsman with a work-ethic that disallowed him to leave a jobsite until the job was completed and perfected. Above all, he was a fantastic husband and father. Donald passed peacefully at his home in Littleton, Colorado on September 6, 2018 at the age of ninety in the care and presence of his family.
Donald is survived by his wife, Judith Otis; his children, Matthew (Jami) Otis, Jandee Sharrett, Dawn (Lee) Hicks, and Belinda Wright; grandchildren, Zachary (Anna) Sharrett, Michael Sharrett, Korbe, Cooper, and three great-grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert Otis.
No services are planned at this time. Donald's final resting place is Littleton Cemetery in Littleton, Colorado.
