Dominic Albert Petrocco, 83, of Denver, went Home peacefully Friday, February 10, 2023, after a long illness.
Dominic grew up in the Welby area, surrounded by Italian immigrant truck farmers. His grandmother, Maria, purchased 10 acres in the early 1900’s and the Petrocco family worked side by side for many years. Petrocco Farms continues to thrive. Today the farm spans from Brighton to Greeley, CO.
Anyone that knew Dominic, and a lot of folks did, will tell you he was one of the most fun loving, humble, sincere, generous, hard-working man they’d ever met.
Dominic loved farming, his old-world Italian heritage, banana cream pies, laughing with his friends, attending farm auctions, and more than anything, spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Dominic is survived by his wife of 61 years Genie, daughters Angeli (Todd) Coover, and Lisa. Granddaughters, Kari (Matt) Schroeder, Jamie (Brian) Sedlak, and great grandchildren Dominic, Madison, Selah, Zoey, and Jackson. He is also survived by his siblings Betty (Lewis) Garner, David (Susan) Petrocco, and Albert (Maria) Petrocco.
