Dolores Gertrude (Lavoie) St. Sauveur, age 95, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family while praying the Rosary.
Born on September 12, 1930, in West Warwick, Rhode Island, Dolores was the daughter of Rose and Noel Lavoie. She met the love of her life, Robert Bernard St. Sauveur, and the two were married on May 21, 1949, in West Warwick. Together they built a beautiful life and family, welcoming seven children, though they sadly lost one daughter at birth.
Dolores lived a life defined by love, kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her generosity, strength, fierce compassion, and gentle spirit. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, and her warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.
Those who knew Del will remember that the heart of her home was always the kitchen. She was an exceptional cook who found great joy in feeding family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to gather around her table. She enjoyed watching The Price Is Right, assembling jigsaw puzzles, baking fresh banana bread, playing a spirited game of Scat, and sneaking away to play BINGO whenever the opportunity arose.
Caring for others was one of Dolores’s greatest gifts. She selflessly welcomed her mother, mother-in-law, and father-in-law into her home after moving them from the East Coast, providing them with loving, full-time care until their passing.
Above all else, Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her family was the source of her greatest pride and deepest joy. The love she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the memories she created will be cherished forever by those who were blessed to know her.
Dolores is survived by her children, Robert St. Sauveur (Marcia), Raymond St. Sauveur (Judy), Susan Whittington (Michael), Nancy Bertles (Joseph), Lynn Welke (Kevin), and Ann Visser (James), as well as her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Del’s Life will be held on June 15, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
