Dolores "Jean" Apple, age 90, died in her home on September 24, 2024, following a stroke in Denver, Colorado. She was a graduate of South High School in Denver, Colorado. Jean was a Denver Native.
Jean met her husband, Jim, in 1953 and they were married in 1955. They were married for 69 years.
Jean worked in the banking and retail industries for several years. She was a very loyal and dedicated employee. Jean loved to shop, was an incredible dessert maker, wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and dear friend to many. Fall was her favorite time of year. Jean is survived by her husband, Jim, their son, Jeff Apple of Denver (Roxane), their daughter, Julie Apple-Seney of Denver (Neil), granddaughters Lauren Apple of Denver, Taylor Apple of San Diego, Raeann Seney of Gunnison (fiancé Kaden Robbins), grandson, Joey Cicerelli of Denver (Steph), and great-grandson, Beau Cicerelli of Denver. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Ethel Dimmick and brother, Dan Dimmick. Jean also leaves behind her niece and nephew and their families.
Funeral services will take place at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 E. Alameda Avenue, Denver, CO 80246 on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. Her urn will be placed in the Memorial Garden at Augustana following the service. Lunch will be served for all in Fellowship Hall at Augustana. Donations can be sent or made out to Augustana Lutheran Church or to Berkley Hospice.
