Evergreen

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Diane W. LeGrand (77, of Evergreen, Colorado). She left us on July 10 after a beautifully lived life full of love, laughter, and resilience. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Diane was daughter to Wanda (VonArb) Jalovec and Daniel VonArb, step-daughter to Donald Jalovec. She grew up in the Chicago suburbs and attended Argo High School in Summit, Illinois. There she met her husband and love of her life, Russell LeGrand. They were happily married for almost 60 years. She was a Certified Medical Assistant, an EMT and a medical office manager for over 30 years. Her passions included learning, reading, traveling and painting. She loved playing “school” with her granddaughters. Diane and Russ enjoyed traveling to exotic locations including Africa, Belize, Spain, Paris, London, Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean and many US National Parks. Diane is survived by her husband, her everything, Russell LeGrand, her daughter Deanna LeGrand-Mielke (Mike), her son Steven LeGrand (Cheryl) and her grandchildren Gabrielle, Brynn, Brandon, Michelle, and Jordan. She was blessed to have been loved by seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many cousins. She has left behind her six siblings Tom, Larry, Paulette, Audree, Jeanette, and Rob. Diane made the best life for herself and her family. She filled her home with love and laughter. She taught us how to love one another and for that we will be forever grateful! A celebration of life will be held September 21st in Evergreen Colorado
