Diana Lepus, age 80, died on Friday, March 19 at her home in Aurora, CO.
Daughter of James and Helen Rager. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, two children, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a sister.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother.
Diana was a homemaker and, when her children were older, was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Aurora Public School system. Upon retirement she volunteered her time assisting teachers and students at St. Pius X Catholic School in Aurora, CO for 17 years. She enjoyed challenging crossword puzzles and word games, and loved watching I Love Lucy and Are You Being Served, a British television comedy series.
One of her greatest joys was singing in the Queen of Peace choir for about 20 years. She loved music and was a wonderful alto. She also cared deeply for her fellow choir members.
A rosary will be held at 5 p.m., Monday, April 5 at Horan and McConaty chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 6 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E. Kentucky Ave., Aurora, CO 80012. Interment of ashes will be at Fort Logan Cemetery in late spring 2021.
