Dennis Lee Clark

Dennis Lee Clark, 81, of Denver, CO, passed from this world to the next on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Amberwood Care Community in Denver. He was born on May 7, 1945, to Merlin W. and Mildred H. (Lundy) Clark in Greenfield, Iowa. Dennis met the love of his life, Patricia (Patti) E. Michaud, and they were united in marriage on July 15, 1978. They celebrated 41 years of marriage together.

Dennis was a humble, hardworking husband, father, and grandfather, and he loved his family and those close to him with a love grounded upon his relationship with Jesus and his zeal for God. A quick wit, humor, and orneriness were among his God-given traits, and Denny was loved by all.

Dennis found joy in the simple things. He loved the outdoors, working with his hands, and helping others. Spending time and camping in the mountains with Patti and family was cherished time. The mountains were a place to escape to, and a place where Dennis experienced God's peace in the beautiful creation surrounding him.

This life can throw challenges at us, and that was true for Dennis. The challenging life lessons and experiences helped forge his character and his trust in the Lord. With the support of others around him, faith, and a strong work ethic, he and his family weathered through them.

Dennis was a man with a quiet and calm disposition. Those who cared for him during his later years witnessed this. Dennis was a beautiful soul; treasured, light-hearted, and fun to be around, and at his core, he desired to be in relationship with others as he modeled honesty and respect.

Some form of teasing banter was involved in every visit and conversation. When asking Dennis, "How are you, Dennis?", the questioner might hear an unexpected reply, "Your what hurts?", followed by a smile and more healthy teasing. To those who knew Dennis, there were three staples needed to round out his diet: Dr. Pepper, corn curls, and Oreo cookies. Perhaps Dennis is now sitting with Patti on a heavenly porch swing, overlooking the vast beauty of God's creation, with one hand embraced and the other holding a Dr. Pepper.

Survivors include his sons, Gary Clark (wife Rachel and children Tatum and Hunter), Aurora; and John Clark (wife Araceli and children Miley and Penelope), Denver; an extended family of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Janet and Steve Huber, Denver, CO; Barbara Michaud, Wasilla, AK; Marie and Charlie Pierce, Littleton, CO; Bernie and Sue Michaud, Kremmling, CO; Regina and Mark McCutcheon, Aurora, CO; Mike and Mary Michaud, Denver, CO; Jerry and Renee Michaud, Hays, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia; his sister, Jeanette (Clark) Knudson; half-brother Robert D. Low; and brother- and sister-in-law's Joseph and Janice Michaud, and Kathleen Michaud.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at 1392 S. Clarkson, Denver. A rosary will precede the Mass at 1:30 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow.
