Dolores Sears, age 84, entered her heavenly home on June 24, 2026, in her home in Highlands Ranch, CO surrounded by her family.

Dolores was a graduate of Anniston High School in Anniston, AL and earned her bachelor's degree at Indiana Wesleyan University, Indianapolis, IN. She retired from the Civil Service/Department of Defense, Accounting and Finance Center in Denver, CO.  She served her church family as Treasurer for Arapahoe Road Baptist Church for 9 years and served as their organist.

Dolores loved to read and was passionate about her music, having played the piano since she was a child, and later enjoyed playing the organ.  In her younger years, she enjoyed participating in bowling leagues with Nick and she loved travelling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Nick Sears, Jr and her parents Egbert and Louise Cook.  Dolores is survived by her son, George Sears III, of Highlands Ranch, CO and her sister Macki Branham (Barry) of Whitney Junction, AL, her sister-in-law, Mary Marsh of Piedmont, AL, Niece, Tahnee Donnolly (Dennis) of Daphne, AL, and nephews, Bill Blackard (Melissa) of Anchorage, AK, Raymond Marsh (Kim) of Anniston, AL, Frank Marsh of Panama City Beach, FL, and many cherished cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Arapahoe Road Baptist Church, 780 E Arapahoe Rd, Centennial, CO 80122 on Thursday, July 2, at 2pm.  Reception to follow.
