Delores Sophia (Fink) Catherman was born to Michael and Martha Fink on July 12, 1934 near Delmont, South Dakota. She was the 2nd of 8 children on a farm near Delmont. She graduated from Delmont High School, In 1953 she married Harris Edwin Catherman who joined the Army and they both were relocated to Indiana. Delores stayed in Indiana until Ed came home from deployment in Korea. They then relocated to Colorado in 1957. They had four daughters: Connie (Jeff) Scovill, Brenda Catherman, Audrey (Bob) Meyers, and Denise (Darryl) Renee. Brenda passed in 1964. She had 3 grandsons from Connie and Jeff Scovill- Jason, Robert and Derick Scovill. Derrick passed in 2013. She also had a great grandson from Derick- Joey Scovill. She also had 2 step-grandchildren from Audrey and Bob Meyers- Cheri Croft and Rob Meyers.
She worked for the Jefferson County School District in food service until her retirement. She enjoyed all the different jobs and challenges she was able to take on and the friends she made. After retirement, she and Ed did a great deal of traveling the states and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by Connie, Audrey and Denise, grandsons, Jason and Robert and great-grandson, Joey. Also, her sisters Vera Van Roy and Viola Bitterman and her brother, David Fink, Elmer Fink and Eddie Fink. Also, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She will truly be missed.
