Dolores Baca

Dolores Baca passed away on September 25,2023 in her home at age 89. Her husband and children were with her.

Dolores was born August 22, 1934 in Trujillo Creek to her mother Eulogia Sanchez and father Theodore Sanchez. She attended grade school in Trujillo Creek and graduated from Aguilar High School in 1955.

While in high school she received a letter from Rafael who was in the Air Force. They met at a dance when he was on leave. They got married June 23, 1956 in Aguilar, Colorado. They had four children; Anthony, Evelyn, Jacqueline and Rafael Jr (deceased).  

Dolores liked to go dancing, to bingo and the casino. However, she enjoyed taking care of their many grandchildren.

Great-Grand Children: Anissa Garner, Gracie Custodi, Yesenia Custodi, Vanessa Garner, Devin Baca, Derick Baca, Izicc Garner, James Trujillo, Toriann Trujillo, Lazarus Torrez, Benjamin Trujillo, Logan De La Garza, Cyrus Moralez, Beau De La Garza, Ryeker Garner, AJ Marquez, Averie Marquez, Ivy Moralez.

Siblings: Henry (Ascension) Sanchez (both passed), Victor (Olivia) Sanchez (both passed), Eva Blea (Armando passed), Harold (Jane) Sanchez, Theresa (Robert) Shockey (both passed)

Numerous nephews and nieces.

The viewing will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, October 10, 2023 followed by the Rosary from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Horan & McConaty – 7577 W. 80^th Ave, Arvada, Co, 80003.

The funeral mass will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10:00am on October 11, 2023 – 7595 Federal Blvd, Westminster, Co, 80030. After mass we will go to Fort Logan for the burial at 12:30pm.

Please join the family at 5421 E. 71^st Ave, Commerce City, Co 80022 for the reception on October 11, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
