David Tibolla

Our loving son David Shannon (Shane) Tibolla passed on from this world on May 5, 2023.  David was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 20, 1971.  He was 52 years old this past March.

Our family moved to Vista, California in 1973 and he and his sister Camille attended Vista Christian School for 2 years.  We eventually moved to Fallbrook, California where David finished elementary school at Fallbrook Elementary, Potter Jr. High and graduated high school from Fallbrook High in 1989. After high school he moved to San Diego where he attended Grossmont College and received an Associate Degree in Cosmetology and Esthetics in 1991.

We moved again in 1993 to Aurora, Colorado and David came with us.  He worked as a makeup artist and salon manager for Polly and Company, until he moved to New York in 1995.

David was a very talented makeup artist and soon he was working with recording artists, theatre artists, Hollywood personalities and Victoria’s Secret TV shows. He did several Spring Fashion Shows in London, Milan and Paris. But his love was always editorial work.  He loved the freedom to be creative in his work.  He loved to write poetry, watercolor paint, and cuddle with his cat Bootsie.

He was a kind, compassionate and giving person. Often too giving, as some people would take advantage of his giving nature.  Everyone who met David, loved him instantly.

He is survived by his Mother, Elizabeth (Liz), Father, Terry, Sister, Camille and spouse (Jeff) and niece, Amber.  His extended family consists of a grandmother, three aunts, three uncles, six cousins and 24+ second cousins.

There will be a “Celebration of Life” for David on June 24, 2023 at 12:00 p.m., at the Shenandoah Community Park in Aurora, Colorado.  In lieu of flowers, send a donation to Denver Dumb Friends League at https://www.ddfl.org/donation-center or to Colorado Crisis Services at https://coloradocrisisservices.org/
