David Kenneth Kerr

David Kenneth Kerr, born June 6^th 1942 to January 13^th 2024, was born in Wichita Kansas to Kenneth Hayes Kerr and Josephine Marie Patchen Kerr. 

They soon relocated to Denver/Park Hill where Dave attended Park Hill Elementary, Smiley Junior High and graduated from East High School in 1960. Dave then continued his studies at Knox College in Galesburg IL. 

Dave married Nancy Naylor in September of 1963 and were married 57 years. 

Dave and Nancy returned to Denver after graduation where Dave attended the University of Denver Law Program. He received his degree and passed the bar in 1967. Dave started his career at Weller, Fredrich and Hickish became a partner in 1974. He then was a founding member of Kerr Friedrich Brosseau Bartlett where he stayed until his retirement in 2013.

 Dave is survived by his two sons Richard and Edward, grandchildren Michael Kerr, Kelly Smiley, Madison Kerr and Braden Kerr, and great grandchildren Tafton Smiley and Isabella Kerr. 

When Dave wasn’t hard at work, he loved spending time at his mountain homes in Pitkin and Fraser Colorado. He also enjoyed playing squash at the Denver Athletic Club, watching sports, fishing, and playing golf with Nancy and friends.
