David was born in StonyBrook (Long Island) New York to Alice (Kennedy) and Eugene Gollub. He was the oldest of 6 children, siblings Laura, Susan, Eugene, Glenn and Gregory and uncle to several nieces and nephews
He graduated from Ward Melvin High School, class of 1974 where he played on the football team.
David was a corporal in the Marine Corps. He graduated from Denver Automotive and Diesel College and spent his career as a diesel mechanic with Merrit Wrecker Service then retired from Super Value /Cub Foods.
David loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle "American by birth Biker by choice" (He was even wearing a harley shirt that said that when he died) He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a big fan of Nascar and football. He always had great stories and liked to talk to people. He enjoyed feeding the wildlife at his home in Elizabeth. He loved rock and roll and was a Ford man.
Those left to cherish David’s memory are his daughter Jennifer and his former wife, Jane Gollub. He is also survived by his mother and five siblings along with many friends. He is predeceased by his father and brother Gregory.
Those who ride are encouraged to join in the procession to Ft. Logan National Cemetery for David’s final ride.
