David Robert Dunn, age 77, died in Parker, Colorado on May 14, 2024. David was born on July 16, 1946, in Syracuse, New York and was raised in the small town of Kirkville where he graduated from Minoa High School. David moved to Colorado in 1974. He worked in the car business for 36 years—he actually met his wife, Kathy, when he sold her a car. He was the General Manager for AutoNation Subaru West at the time of his retirement in 2020.
David was passionate about his family, travel, golf, and giving back to his community. He supported the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and served on the board of Golfer’s Against Cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, their daughter, Becky (Brent Nagen) Adams of Parker, CO, their sons, Paul (Haley) Evans of Centennial, CO and Brad (Jody) Leiser of St. Johns, FL, and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, John (Wanda) Dunn, and sister, Deb Hulchanski, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and his beloved dog, Ginger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Dunn, Elloise Rice Dunn, and Erla Townsend Dunn.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Advent Health Parker who cared so much for David during his time there.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home on Sunday, August 25th at 1 p.m.
