David Lee Demski

David Lee Demski, of Larkspur, Colorado, born April 15, 1941, passed to eternal life on March 11, 2024 at the age of 82 with his loved ones by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Adela Demski (Estrada) and his daughter Danielle Demski-Erickson (Ethan) of Montecito, CA, stepchildren Lisa Grant-Worthman of The Woodlands, TX and David Grant (Jamie) of Lakewood, CO. He was a beloved grandfather to Ashlyn and Brayden Erickson and Alexandra and Ethan Worthman. He also leaves behind his brother Phillip Demski (Joanne) of Milwaukee, WI. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice Demski of Milwaukee, WI.

           David was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Colorado where he graduated from University of Northern Colorado and later gained his Masters Degree from Ball State University. David was a successful wrestler, with achievements that included U S Federation National Wresting Champion as well as AAU Wrestling Champion for Wisconsin, Indiana, and Colorado. In addition to his love of wrestling, he played for the Calgary Stampeders, (Canadian Football League).

David was a high school teacher, wrestling and football coach, having taught at Regis, Brighton, Gateway and Aurora High Schools in Colorado. In addition to teaching, he operated a successful landscape business. He was an all around outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and travel David was loved and will be missed by many.

Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 2746 Fifth Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104 with the burial immediately following at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 880 E. Wolfensberger Rd, Castle Rock, CO 80109.
