Daniel Calderon

July 14, 1931 — March 20, 2020

Daniel Acosta Calderon, age 88, peacefully passed away on March 20, 2020 of natural causes at his residence in Littleton, Colorado.

Daniel was born in Pueblo, Colorado on July 14, 1931. He lived in Denver and Littleton Colorado and worked for many years in Masonry until retiring in 1990. Daniel was a kind, giving, and loving family man, friend and neighbor. He performed charitable masonry work for Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Denver and taught his children the importance of hard work. In his spare time he wan an avid golfer and his favorite team was the Denver Broncos.

He is survived by his wife Otilia Calderon; his children Kristina (Michael) Sapp, Danny (Kathy) Calderon, Anita (Greg Somers) Calderon, Aimee Calderon, Vincent (Lisa Kanne) Calderon, Susana Calderon and Marisela (Jon) Schleifer; his grandchildren, Danielle Calderon, Jason Kann, Maya Calderon and Sofia Centeno. Daniel was preceded in death by his son Richard Calderon, his first wife Mary Valdez and his parents Miguel Calderon and Jesucita Acosta.

Services and burial for Daniel are limited to immediate family members only at this time due to state and local guidance. Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheatridge, Colorado.
