It has been said that life begins like an open book with many blank pages. As each day goes by, our life as it is recorded on those blank pages until out final breath is drawn. Th blank pages of this book of life began on July 10, 1974 for a baby boy named Damien Romalous Linzy. Damien attended grade school in Stillwater, Oklahoma, as well as in Denver, Colorado, and went on to graduate from East High School in Denver in May of 1993. While living in Denver, Damien Tutored students and was a member of a youth church group at Holy Redeemer Episcopal Church in Denver, Colorado. Damien then moved back to Oklahoma where he attended college at Langston University majoring in Communication & Multimedia. Damien was well known for his disc jockey personality on the campus radio and his dedication to the brotherhood of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Those Closest to him affectionately called him ""Dae Dae."" Damien also had a love for sports, especially the Denver Broncos, and a huge passion for debating on any subject with anyone who was willing. He returned to Denver, where he was employed by Ticketmaster and later ADT Security Systems in Aurora, Colorado. In 1998, Damien reunited with Shalandra Michele Johnson, a high school girlfriend who in August of 1999 became his wife at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in Aurora. By the year 2009, Damien and Shalandra had been blessed with four children, Diaon, Tyjon, Arion and Milan. Damien was not only a hardworking man, who was dedicated to his duties, but was a very devoted husband and a proud father to his four children. He loved to socialize and was respected by co-workers, supervisors, friends, and anyone who knew him. Family was very important to him, but most of all his wife and children were his heart. Damien suddenly fell ill in 2015 and fought a courageous battle until, at 42 years of age and with his wife at his side, he quietly passed from this life on April 4, 2017. He will be missed by all. ""To Everything there is a season And a time to every purpose under the heavens A time to be born and a time to die."" - Ecclesiastics 3:1-2 Damien is preceded in death by his grandparents: Mary Nevins and Chester Linzy Sr. He leaves to cherish and honor his memory his wife of twenty years, Shalandra; his children , Daion, Tyjon, Arion and Milan; his mother, Barbara Linzy; his father, Bobby Marshall and stepmother, Vicki Marshall; his brother, Stanley Linzy; his sister, Charlotta Linzy; his stepbrothers and sisters, Angie Marshall, Raquel Marshall, Candice Williams and Bobby Marshall Jr; aunt, Charolette; his uncles, Leo Tippett, and Chester & wife, Debbie; his nephew/nieces, Terrence Lewis Jr. , Anquilesha Lewis, Terryco Lewis, Roxanne Marshall, Aniyrus Markham, Mi Lahnie Lewis, Jannae Harris, James Harris, Jamiah Harris, Jayla Harris and Zaquan Linzy; plus extended family; and numerous friends.
