In Loving Memory of Cynthia "Cindy" Trombatore

Cynthia "Cindy" Trombatore, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 72

Born on December 23, 1953, in Trinidad, Colorado, to Juanita and Gilbert Asevedo, Cindy grew up rooted in family. After graduating from Trinidad High School, she attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

In 1973, Cindy met Frank Trombatore. They were married on June 21, 1975, in Trinidad, and went on to purchase their first home together in 1977. Over the years, they built a steady life filled with shared history and family. They were blessed with two children: daughter Kimberly and son Jared Cindy dedicated 46 years of hard work to King Soopers, where her job was truly made meaningful by her coworkers. Over nearly five decades, her colleagues became real friends and extended family.

For those in her inner circle, Cindy was a source of light, humor, and generous comfort. She expressed her care in tangible, thoughtful ways-whether cooking her famous, highly requested homemade dishes, making custom arts and crafts, or simply being there when someone needed to talk. Cindy was the person people turned to when they needed to vent, always ready with an open, non-judgmental ear, genuine advice, and a warm hug when it mattered most.

While Cindy was happy to be a mother, her absolute greatest joy in life came from being a grandmother.

She adored her five grandchildren and truly thrived in her role as their grandma. Her grandkids were her world, and she poured her heart, time, and boundless devotion into them.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Frank Trombatore; her daughter, Kimberly Downs, and her husband, Robert Downs; her son, Jared Trombatore, and his wife, Brittany Trombatore; her treasured grandchildren, Tyler, Aubry, Kayle, Audrina, and Harlen; as well as her sister Dorothy Fisher(Larry) and two brothers,Gilbert Asevedo(Daisy) and Gerald Asevedo(Candy). She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Gilbert Asevedo.

In accordance with Cindy's wishes, no formal celebration of life services will be held. Her family and loved ones will honor her memory privately, remembering her quick wit, her handmade gifts, and the deep, unwavering love she shared with those closest to her.
