Craig W. Keffer

December 25, 1922 — September 29, 2014

Craig Warrant Keffer was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was born December 25, 1922 in Leadore, Idaho and passed away on September 29th, 2014 at his home in Aurora, Colorado. Craig married Signe M. Anderson on May 29th, 1955 in Monte Vista, Colorado and spent a wonderful 59 years together. Craig was blessed with two sons, one daughter, a grandson and two great-grandsons. Craig graduated from Nampa High School in Nampa, Idaho in 1941. He served in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Western Electric a Division of AT&T. Craig enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, reading and visiting with numerous friends. Craig was very active in the Boy Scouts of America as an Institutional Representative, District Finance Chairman, Assistant District Commissioner, and Member of the Order of the Arrow. Craig was also the Kiwanis President in Center, Colorado while living there. Craig is preceded in death by George M. Keffer, father, Frances R. Keffer, mother, Calvin and Eugene Keffer, brothers. He is survived by his wife, Signe M. Keffer, Aaron Keffer, son, Sharon Gaylene Keffer, daughter, Dennis (Kathy) Keffer , son, David (Mellissa) Hempel, grandson, Kiegan and Brysen Hempel, great-grandsons, Noel Keffer, brother, Barbara Weymouth, sister, and many nieces and nephews. Craig will be missed by all that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Faith Presbyterian Church located at 11373 East Alameda Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80012. Interment will take place on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery located at 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
