Courtney Colleen New 11-28-73 10-20-03 Courtney, beloved wife of Daniel New, entered into rest on October 20, 2003. She was the daughter of Edward D. Chentnik and Cynthia Coleman Chentnik of Rome, New York. The oldest of four children, Courtney is survived by her father Edward, mother Jennifer Hinman Cofield, and brothers Edward, Justin, and Benjamin, all of New York . Courtney attended college at the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed her degree in Psychology at San Diego State University. Courtney and her husband Dan were married on July 5th 2002 and established their home and careers' in Denver. Dan at Comcast Cable Company and Courtney at Great West Life Annuity Insurance Company of Denver. As a couple, the News enjoyed spending time with their family and friends. Some of their best memories are of camping and snowmobiling, with their dog, Carter, in the mountains. They also liked to be at the ocean and would travel back to Montauk, Long Island to revisit the spot where they became engaged. Courtney loved collecting photographs of their favorite times into frames and albums. She also liked to read and share her ideas with the members of her book club. Courtney will be remembered for her beautiful smile, and the love and laughter she brought into all our lives. In the words of Jane Austin from her novel Emma : 'Where shall we see a better daughter, or a kinder sister or a truer friend?' A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 7:00 PM At the Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 1091 So. Colorado Blvd. at the corner of Colorado and Mississippi Streets, Denver CO. 303-757-1238.
